The destruction of the Babri mosque in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, was not arranged and included "hostile to social components" who got unsettled and climbed the vaults, a court in Uttar Pradesh said today, absolving each of the 32 blamed including BJP pioneers LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti of trick charges in a milestone decision. "The denounced attempted to stop the destruction," said uncommon adjudicator Surendra Kumar Yadav, including that the Hindu activists who destroyed the sixteenth century mosque were "hostile to social components".

I wholeheartedly welcome the judgement by the Special Court in #BabriMasjidDemolitionCase. The judgement vindicates my personal & BJP's belief and commitment toward the Ram Janmabhoomi movement: LK Advani after being acquitted by Special CBI Court

The Supreme Court also called it "unlawful destruction" and said Muslims had been wrongly deprived of a mosque that was constructed well over 400 years ago. "It is necessary to provide restitution to the Muslim community for the unlawful destruction of their place of worship," the top court said, ordering an alternative site in Ayodhya for a mosque.
